What is KODENSHI?
KODENSHI is the brand name of a functional material produced by FIRBEST Co., Ltd. which harnesses the properties of far infrared energy. Far infrared rays are invisible and transparent light that lies beyond the outermost infrared rays when light is dispersed into seven colors through a prism. They are the source of the heat we feel. KODENSHI fibers are functional fibers that absorb and store far infrared radiation constantly emitted by the body, i.e., body heat, and re-emit it back to the body. Since our body temperature is the heat source, it is not excessively hot, and the natural warmth lasts.
In this way, KODENSHI® provides a human-body friendly environment that allows to maintain body temperature within the ideal range. The high-purity ultra-fine ceramics uniformly blended in KODENSHI® fibers, using state-of-the-art technology, has a large surface area that enables efcient absorption and radiation of energy (body heat). Compared with other fibers of the same composition, KODENSHI® radiates 10% to 20% more energy than that emitted from the palm of the hand (i.e., the human body).
